As our community gradually reopens, we know that Bigs and Littles would like to resume in-person activities. Bigs and Littles could start meeting again in-person starting June 1, as long as Big, Little and the Little’s family are comfortable with it.
Always err on the side of caution in order to protect all parties involved and continue to follow CDC, state and local guidelines:
Practice social distancing as much as possible (6 feet between persons);
Wear a face mask when outside of your household;
Wash your hands or use hand sanitizer frequently;
If anyone in household of the Big and Little is experiencing any kind of symptoms (cough, sore throat, headache, muscle pain, chills, diarrhea, fever, difficulty breathing, loss of taste or smell, or has been in close contact with a person who has COVID-19), reschedule your meeting until at least 7 days have passed since symptoms first appeared.
If Big, Little or Little’s family are not comfortable to resume in-person meeting, continue meeting virtually (calls, video calls, Google Duo, Google hangouts, etc…) until you feel comfortable to meet again.
Not being able to see your Little face-to-face will present some new challenges to your relationship, but following the tips will help you navigate these difficulties while continuing to help your Little reach their highest potential.
