About Us

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Brazos Valley is working to clear the path to a child's biggest possible future. Joining parents with our staff, we match each child with a mentor to foster a friendship built on trust, learning, and growth. Together, we are defenders of potential.

COVID-19 Update

Matches are meeting in person since this is best to build a relationship between Big and Little. When meeting in-person , we recommend that matches (even if vaccinated) meet outside, wear masks, and keep at least 6 feet of distance from others. Frequent hand washing and/or use of hand sanitizer is also important.

If anyone in the household of the Big or Little is experiencing any kind of symptoms or has been in contact with a person who has tested positive for COVID-19, reschedule your meeting until at least 7 days have passed since symptoms first appeared. Symptoms include cough, sore throat, headache, muscle pain, chills, diarrhea, fever, difficulty breathing, loss of taste or smell, fatigue. Matches are also encouraged to meet virtually (Zoom, FaceTime, Skype, Google Hangout, phone calls, emails, letters, etc.) while not able to do so in person.
